UMT
Loving our neighbors. Serving our schools.
At United Methodist Temple, we believe faith is
more than something we practice on Sunday - it is
something we live every day. Jesus calls us to love
our neighbors, and our Methodist tradition reminds
us to put that love into action. Southwest Middle,
Southwest Elementary and Cleveland Court
Elementary schools are more than schools near our
church - these kids and families are our neighbors.
By supporting these schools, we are living out our call
to:
UMT proudly supports the Southwest Station Clothes Closet and Food Pantry at Southwest Middle School, helping meet the everyday needs of students right here in our community.
With 48 students currently registered as experiencing homelessness, the need is significant.
Hygiene products, microwavable meals, shoes, individually packaged foods and snacks, paper towels, and paper plates are among the items most needed. Through the loving leadership of Melanie Pranno and Suzie Cornnell, our congregation has an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of these students.

Southwest Elementary and Cleveland Court Elementary are the two local schools where UMT
helps provide kidsPACK weekend meals for students experiencing food insecurity. At the start of the 2026-27 school year, 73 students were identified between these two schools as needing food assistance over the weekend. Let by Janet Harris, UMT volunteers gather once a month to pack meals, which are then delivered to the school each week throughout the month. Our church also provides financial support to help kidsPACK continue serving these students.
Want to make a difference? Volunteers are always welcome to help pack and or deliver meals.
